Bergara BMR STEEL .22 WMR 20” (51 cm) is a compact bolt-action “micro rimfire” rifle built for shooters who want real-world accuracy, solid mechanics and consistent control in a lightweight platform. The .22 WMR (22 Magnum) offers more range and energy than .22 LR, making this setup a strong choice for small game, pest control and precision rimfire practice where you still want a clean, measured shot.

BMR stands for Bergara Micro Rifle—a compact action designed from the ground up with one clear goal: repeatable accuracy and smooth handling in an accessible, do-it-all rimfire rifle. It’s a “micro” action in size, but the feel is familiar to Bergara fans: a stable action, a properly built barrel, and a trigger that helps you stay on target.

With rimfire, accuracy isn’t only about ammo—it’s also about the chamber. The BMR uses a match chamber to support consistent bullet alignment and more predictable groups with quality ammunition. The practical result: fewer surprises across distances and faster confidence-building in your rifle setup.

The BMR STEEL features a 4140 steel barrel with a matte blued finish and No.4 taper. In .22 WMR it comes in a 20” (51 cm) configuration with a 1:16 twist—well matched to typical .22 WMR bullet weights. The length is a smart compromise: enough barrel to keep performance and stability, while staying compact and easy to carry with optics.

The factory 1/2-28 UNEF thread is the most common rimfire standard, which makes accessory selection straightforward. A thread protector is included to keep the muzzle thread protected during transport and field use.

The BMR STEEL comes with a factory scope rail rated at 0 MOA. This is the practical “do-it-all” choice for hunting and general rimfire shooting—simple, consistent, and easy to set up.

The rifle uses the Bergara Performance Trigger in a Remington 700 style layout, adjustable via Allen key. The goal is clear: a clean, predictable break that helps you avoid pulling off target at the moment of the shot. For advanced tuning, the platform is designed to be compatible with many aftermarket Remington 700 style triggers (with side bolt release).

The stock is composite, finished in tactical grey with black specks. It’s a working stock: stable, practical and comfortable for long sessions—whether you’re shooting from a rest, bag, tripod or improvised field support.

Two detachable magazines are included: 5 and 10 rounds. The 5-rounder stays compact for hunting and carry; the 10-rounder is ideal for drills and longer range sessions. The slim-line magazine design is compatible across the BMR family in .22 LR / .22 WMR / .17 HMR.
